For those who know me, I’m not the type to seek comfort, favors, and compliments from others. But you know what? Sometimes, the comforting embrace of someone who is genuinely concerned for your well-being just does the trick. No rain checks, debts, guilt. Just an honest to goodness hug that reminds you that we all make errors and at times, can’t control our tears. A hug that reinforces the fact that you’re only human and no matter how hard you struggle, humans are simply limited in time and ability. I guess all I’m trying to say is that I need a hug. And that though I’ve built such a thick and seemingly impermeable wall around myself, I need to allow people through when “push comes to shove”. This is neither a plea for help nor a declaration of defeat, but rather a personal realization that even a one-man show needs backstage people to help manage technical, or rather, reality’s difficulties.
